What speaking looks like

Speakers at ElixirConf EU 2026 in Málaga.

What we are looking for

Talks that are technically deep, practical and focused on robust, maintainable, concurrent and distributed systems. Slots are 20 or 40 minutes, including optional Q&A. Need ideas? Here are some areas we are interested in:

Phoenix and LiveView at scale: architecture, performance, testing and long-term maintenance.
Data pipelines and background processing with Broadway, Flow, Oban and Ecto.
Embedded and edge systems with Nerves and AtomVM, plus real-world case studies: scaling, ROI and migrating legacy systems.

Roundtable discussions are run by the attendees themselves and are not part of the Call for Talks.

How it works

1Submit your proposal on Sessionize by 15 December: title, abstract, level and a short bio.

2We review all proposals together and get back to you after 15 December.

3If you are selected, you get a free ticket and everything below. If not, we still send you something special afterwards.

What you get as a speaker

A free conference ticket.
A speakers' dinner the day before the conference, where you meet us (the organizers) and the other speakers.
Access to the speakers' room during the conference.
A confirmation letter that you spoke at ElixirConf EU 2027, on request: just write to info@codesync.global.

Why speak

Preparing a talk makes you understand your topic better. In two experiments, people who expected to teach a lesson remembered more of it afterwards than people who expected to be tested on it (Fiorella & Mayer, 2013, Contemporary Educational Psychology 38(4), 281-288, doi.org/10.1016/j.cedpsych.2013.06.001).

You also share your work with people who use Elixir and Erlang every day, meet the community and get feedback on your talk.
